Aquatic Adventures Academy
The Aquatic Adventures Academy™ program was developed in 2003 to help elementary school children understand the role that water plays in shaping our planet's quality of life. Water is everywhere. In this curriculum students begin to understand water's specific phases and locations in relationship to life and landscape on the planet Earth. World Water Monitoring Day
We have many exciting projects planned for this year, but our first mission
this Fall is going to be to plan a World Water Monitoring Day for your school.Aquatic Adventures Academy students will work as a team to:
- Find and register a monitoring site.
- Organize a "WWMD Water Conference" at your school with local water experts.
- Petition your principal and/or local government to proclaim an official "World Water Monitoring Day" in your school, city or town.
- Issue a press release to local paper(s) announcing your WWMD activities and events.
